Hello and thanks for stopping by! Hurricane Handmade is artistically a solo project, but HurricaneJoy is supported by some great people, and some wonderful pets. These do include several lovely cats and dogs. (See "Our Team" for pictures.) While great care is taken that your items arrive clean and professionally packaged, this is a cottage business run out of a home that is shared with those pets. Occasionally you may find hairs on your product, and for allergen sufferers please follow the care instructions in the FAQ and wash your item when you receive it if you are highly sensitive. We want you to love your new things, not weep histamine tears over them!
And now, a word about color! We do our best to represent color accurately on our listings! However, this is a high bar to clear. Many of our colors are chosen because they are fluorescent, which challenges the camera, and requires a full spectrum and black light example. These challenging colors are then often combined in high contrast combinations to highlight our striking designs, often pushing our photography equipment past its limits! For this reason, every color choice is tagged with a photo of a color swatch. Please refer to these closely! Sadly, due to differences in digital displays we are unable to guarantee exact matches, and cannot process refunds on this basis.
We love custom orders! If there is unspecified detail in your item (eye color, bead color, etc.) and you have preferences, please add it in the notes of your checkout or Contact Us with your order number. Please fill out our 'Custom Creation' form to collaborate with HurricaneJoy! For clarity, however, all custom orders require a Materials down payment and are final on completion of the item. Shipping damages are insured, so if something should go wrong in transit you are covered.
Which transitions well into the topic of shipping. Our orders are shipped USPS Priority Mail. These packages are insured up to $100 so please contact us about purchasing additional insurance if your order exceeds this value. A tracking number will be emailed when your order ships! Due to the current difficult international circumstances we cannot ship outside of USPS delivery. International customers, please Contact Us before ordering so we can communicate about delivery.
